Staff members at the Primary Care department at the Bonita Medical Office in San Diego, Calif., found that when they streamlined supply orders, they saved far more than they had expected. That’s what the Patient Mobility team at the Richmond Medical Center in Northern California found out. When team members consistently got patients out of bed and walking, not only did patients heal faster, their average length of stay dropped by a full day.
